Chrysler Pacifica production at Stellantis Windsor Assembly Plant carries Stellantis's flagship luxury minivan positioning. The Pacifica program shares Windsor Assembly with the Chrysler Voyager and the Pacifica Plug-In Hybrid variant. Tier 1 and Tier 2 suppliers shipping into Windsor face requirements that combine luxury interior refinement standards with hybrid electrical and thermal management scope.
This guide covers Pacifica-specific supplier requirements at Stellantis Windsor Assembly, common non-compliance patterns, and how suppliers coordinate coverage across the Ontario corridor. For scoping calls, contact IDS at 905-260-2388.
Windsor Assembly Program Overview
- Chrysler Pacifica: Luxury full-size minivan, high-volume family program with elevated NVH and refinement expectations
- Chrysler Pacifica Plug-In Hybrid: PHEV variant with battery pack integration, hybrid powertrain, and elevated thermal management requirements
- Chrysler Voyager: Value-tier full-size minivan variant, shares platform elements with Pacifica
Elevated Quality Requirements for Pacifica
1. Luxury Interior NVH Standards
Interior trim, seat integration, headliner, door panels, and instrument panel suppliers face NVH standards elevated above legacy Dodge Grand Caravan applications. Boundary samples for Pacifica are documented separately.
2. Second and Third Row Occupant Experience
Stow-and-Go seating system, second and third row seat controls, HVAC vents, audio integration, and captain's chair variants all face luxury minivan subjective scoring. Suppliers new to Pacifica typically underestimate the difference from legacy program expectations.
3. Plug-In Hybrid Electrical and Thermal
Components interfacing with the Pacifica PHEV battery pack, hybrid electrical harness, or thermal management system face elevated testing scope similar to Ultium platform requirements. Not identical to Ultium but adjacent.
4. Chrysler-Brand Fit and Finish
Exterior trim, badging, lighting integration, and body panel gap requirements reflect Chrysler brand positioning above Ram or Dodge equivalents. Windsor Assembly quality gates enforce these standards during off-line inspection.
PPAP Requirements at Windsor Assembly
PPAP Level 3 is standard. Level 4 or 5 may apply to safety-critical components and PHEV-specific electrical components. Cpk minimums typically 1.33 for significant and 1.67 for critical characteristics. Stellantis Global 8D format required for corrective actions. See 8D reports customers actually accept.
Common Non-Compliance Patterns
- NVH surprise on interior suppliers moving from legacy minivan programs to Pacifica
- Shared platform assumption errors where suppliers assume Voyager or Grand Caravan boundary samples cover Pacifica
- PHEV component qualification gaps when suppliers underestimate hybrid electrical and thermal test scope
- Slow TSV response cycles for suppliers without on-site Windsor coverage
- Chrysler brand fit and finish miss on exterior trim and badging components
Windsor Coverage
Stellantis Windsor Assembly is within IDS core Ontario coverage corridor with same-day on-site response available. See our Ontario coverage page.
